Signs you may have a hormone imbalance
Can’t lose weight to save your life? Feeling tired and low on energy? Well you may not realize it but you might have a hormone imbalance.
Women’s lives are increasingly busy and stressful. We take care of everyone and sometimes don’t recognize the signs and triggers that can impact our health. Until a few years ago, I would never have associated such common symptoms like fatigue, headaches or weight gain with hormone imbalance. Energy drinks and painkillers won’t make that go away. They simply mask the symptoms and never solve the problem.
Once I realized the underlying problem, I was able to tackle it head on and so easily. I hate to see women struggle with something that can so easily be remedied. If you follow my posts, you know that I like to keep it natural. Synthetic hormones and pills are not always the best answer but often women feel they are the only answer. I’m living proof that its not true and I know lots of women who have success with natural solutions.
Frustrating in so many ways, weight gain is a huge puzzle that many women struggle to solve. Please don’t tell a woman to eat less and exercise more. The person who tells you this has never struggled to lose weight. If following the same meal plan and exercise regimen that helped you lose weight doesn’t work for you anymore, you may have an underlying imbalance that needs to be addressed.
Feeling sluggish and unable to focus is a sign that most of us don’t attribute to hormones. Diet can make a huge difference. Try eliminating sugar, wheat and grains to stabilize blood sugar.
Women need testosterone and if it’s too low, our libido is affected.
Lack of sexual desire can increase stress and increases in stress can lower your libido! It’s a crazy vicious cycle. Women are particularly vulnerable during perimenopause when hormone levels are up and down.
You may not recognize the signs of hormone imbalance. I didn’t at first either. Once I figured it out and took the right steps toward a solution, I have never felt better. I have more energy, weight loss isn’t a problem and I don’t feel stressed.
Getting older doesn’t have to sap your energy and drive. You can get your groove back too without synthetic hormones and prescriptions that can further put your body out of whack.
Start with a few simple changes to help you feel GREAT.
- Get enough sleep
- Reduce stress
- Eat a balanced diet and Exercise
- Avoid sugar and caffeine
