Leg cramps are awful! I started suffering from leg cramps a few years ago. They’d mainly occur following exercise and mostly at night. My leg muscles (mainly hamstrings) would tighten up painfully All I could do was suffer through and try to relax while lightly massaging my leg.
Leg cramps are brief episodes of contracting muscles that can range from a mild sensation to a contraction so strong that it causes a knot. Fatigued muscles are more likely to cramp. This is why it’s common to suffer from leg cramps following strenuous exercise. In the midst of it, applying heat, massaging and relaxing are the best remedies. Of course, the best cure is prevention. Applying essential oils can sooth and relax muscles preventing spasms.
